Dog-on Television for latchkey dogs
I like to leave the television on for my dogs when I'm gone for more than a couple of hours, so they have the option to be idly entertained in case they're ever tired from their hectic schedules of sleeping and eating. I usually turn on the Food Network, but they may prefer Dog-on Television, an hour-long DVD featuring scenes of dogs playing, frolicking, and indelicately sniffing each other.
Dog-on TV is shot from a dog's perspective so it's just like they're really going to the park with a ball and a doting human companion...except they're languishing on the couch instead. I'm not sure if it would be comforting or torturous for them. I don't know if it's all that far-fetched to think that they'll be a little more eager for a trip to the dog run after watching a few hours of canine recreation. Hua Mei, a young panda, was impregnated with twins on a blind date, shortly after being shown hours of panda porn.
Dog-on television is available for $19.95 at BowwowTV.
