McDonald's gets tech-savvy

I guess (or better I hope) that after "Super-size Me", McDonald's is experiencing some difficulties in drawing customers, and so in an attempt to appeal to the young and tech-savvy the well known fast food chain has begun pilot testing a new ATM like machine called the Blaze Net. Blaze Net allows customers to buy music and ring tones, print photos and surf the Web at the restaurant. The new flagship restaurant opened last Monday near the Oakbrook Center Mall in suburban Chicago, and along with the typical McDonald's delicatessen, offers a whole variety of Starbucks-like coffee-variations.
In November, similar equipment had been introduced in a McDonald's in Munich and has proven to be quite successful since it's now being rolled out into many of the company's 1,250 German restaurants.
