Air Cleaning Hair Dryer

Hitachi has launched in Japan a hair dryer that fights germs in the air and releases negative ions to improve the health of hair.

The dryer has a filter coated with nanometers of silver and titanium dioxide, which work together as a catalyst to break down pollen and dead ticks (!!!) The fan is also coated with a catalyst that fights odor and germs when four diodes shine ultraviolet rays on it. The air outlet is covered with ceramic which radiates infrared rays that are absorbed more easily by wet hair than dry. This helps to prevent hair from being overexposed to infrared rays and also reduces the time needed to dry hair, claims Hitachi.
