Tumi makes really excellent laptop cases with lots of protective padding and pockets, but that usually means the bag weighs more than the computer. The new Laptop Carrier is a much more streamlined solution that still offers good protection and extra pockets. Comes in colors like aqua, grape, citrus (lime green), and sorbet (the pink pictured here). It's $125 from Tumi.

This pink laptop sleeve carrier from Target is verrry similar in appearance and specs (lightweight, inside pockets, adjustable shoulder straps) and is made of leather (the Tumi appears to be nylon with a leather shoulder strap) and is just $27.

If, unlike me, you are looking for a non-cheapo laptop case, there's the Jackie Oh leather laptop bag, which will set you back $995. This looks exactly like the case that held my mom's old bonnet hairdryer. Now I wish she still had it; she foolishly threw it out because of a little bit of asbestos. The description reads "laptop not included" and if it didn't I would have assumed you were getting the computer too.
