iPod PocketParty micro speaker

There is no shortage of speaker systems for the iPod but generally they're fairly heavy and bulky and made for home use, not portable enough for inflicting your iTunes downloads on your trainmates. The PodGear PocketParty changes all that, with a micro-sized speaker that weighs under 2 ounces. Just a single watt of stereo power but that's enough to get a party started on your bus route, or get you pummelled by annoyed passengers. The PocketParty runs on a AA battery for about 10 hours, about the same as the 4G iPods (or so Apple says, I find that's a bit of a stretch).

Also upcoming is the PocketParty Shuffle which will turn the nearly weightless iPod shuffle into "the world,Aeos tiniest ghetto blaster". PodGear says the speaker will be so small that the PocketyParty can be connected to the shuffle and still worn comfortably around the neck, pendant-style.

The iPod PocketParty (for 3G and 4G iPods) is available now and the PocketParty Shuffle will be available in April. Looks like only UK retailers are carrying the line at the moment.
