Teen gadgets

An interesting article on MSNBC reports about various gadgets that ,Aeuwill keep your ,Aeotweens amused for hours,Aeu. While some of the gadgets are determined to be for kids and teenagers just based on their price (see iPod shuffle and MacMini), there are a couple of other gadgets that are truly meant for the young even though they can definitely be appreciated by a mature audience as well.
WowWee,Aeos famous Robosapien family is growing this year and here is an overview of the new robots in town. All the robots can be controlled and programmed via a remote control and are able to interact with their human owner and with one another. The most advanced one is the Robosapien V2.

The Robosapien V2 is almost 28 inches tall, it can pick up, drop and throw objects and can even talk! But the best part is that the Robosapien V2 can control his new friends: the Roborapto and the Robopet.

The Roborapto would have made me a very happy child. I was totally into dinosaurs as a kid and the idea of having my own little dinosaur-robot is quite appealing to me even now. Roboraptos can be in three different moods: hunter, cautious and playful. If you go near it while it,Aeos in hunter mood it will react aggressively, but it will snuggle your hand if you approach it while it is being playful.

And finally the Robopet. The Robopet can perform various tricks and will follow you faithfully thanks to the laser light leash, but most importantly it can even function as a guard dog.

You will have to wait until the end of the summer for these new WowWee,Aeos robots to come out. The Roborapt is expected to hit the market in August for $99.00, followed by Robopet who will be available in October for $69.99 and finally the Robosapien V2 will make a good Christmas present coming out in December for $200. If you want more detailed information about WowWee,Aeos robots check out this article and video at GadgetMadness.

But robots aren,Aeot the only appealing teen gadget mentioned in the article; LeapFrog,Aeos pentop computer called ,AeuFly,Aeu looks quite interesting as well and I am really curious to see how it will sell.

The ,AeuFly,Aeu can be described as computerized pen that lets you write/draw anything you want on a special paper and then lets you interact with it. So, for example, you can draw a keyboard and then play it by touching its keys, or you can draw a calculator and perform calculations whose result will be read out by the ,AeuFly,Aeu. The pentop computer can correct spelling mistakes while you are writing and even translate your text into other languages. It is available for $99.00.

Finally, I liked Disney,Aeos Pendant Digital Camera that will be available later this year.
