Sidekick can be hacked

It is sad day when I feel bad for Paris Hilton, and it's all T-Mobile's fault. Paris's swarovski covered Sidekick was hacked (and not for the first time) and all her personal data and phone cam pictures have been made available on the internet. T-Mobile is well aware that their system is not fully secure; Nicholas Jacobsen was busted for selling Sidekick data in IRC chatrooms for over a year. The problem? T-Mobile keeps all your data on their servers so you need to keep subscribing to the service to keep your contacts, pictures, etc...

This is probably less embarassing for Paris than it is for the people who are now known to associate with her. "Call gary shandlin get tape of everything" (warning: not safe for work as adultfinder ads will pop up). Is that Garry Shandling? You'd hope she'd learned her lesson about videotaping by this point.

But let Paris be a lesson to everyone. Don't keep anything important or embarassing on your Sidekick. Don't take pictures you wouldn't willingly share with the world. Better yet, dump the Sidekick altogether until T-Mobile gets their privacy/security act together.
