The iPod itself comes with a couple of games, but they are really nothing special and,I believe, were never meant to be. Afterall, the iPod's focus is not game-playing, but music-listening. Even though it would be cool to see some neat, flashy games on the device, I doubt this is among Apple's priorities. But if you are really dying to play games on your iPod there is always the text-based games alternative. You can find a couple of iPod games at xoplay. I haven't tried any yet, but should I find the time to play some of them I will write a small review. On the other hand, if you feel creative and want to create your own text-based game for the iPod, you can download the iStory Creator available at iPodSoft with several other interesting applications, as for example the GoogleGet that lets you download the latest news and weather information from news.google.com (or a local variation) and weatherroom.com to your iPod.
