UV Protective Laundry Detergent
I'm a sunblock obsessive so I'm constantly spraying people with SPF when they're not looking but sometimes they don't like it. Radiant 3-in-1 Colour Care, a laundry detergent sold in Australia makes sun protection easier with the addition of Tinosorb FD, a chemical compound with powerful UV absorbing properties. Clothing washed with Tinosorb blocks about 96% of UV rays, both UVA (aging and CANCER) and UVB (tanning and CANCER).
The detergent isn't available in the US yet, but Rit SunGuard, which uses the same chemical compound can be added to a load of laundry to add the same UV protective properties. SunGuard will add UPF 30 (ultraviolet protection factor, like SPF, only for fabrics) to the clothing that will last for up to 20 launderings. Just because you're covered up with a t-shirt doesn't mean you're protected from the sun: a typical white t-shirt only offers UPF 5.
