One of my favorite greenfestival finds is Vulcana, a company that makes handbags and accessories from recycled rubber tires. Vulcana takes tires from Florida landfills and converts the material into sheet rubber (and rubber mixed with hemp), which is then used to make eco-friendly tote bags, backpacks, and other accessories. Vulcana products are sold through its website and in a number of specialty stores. My favorite bag is this satchel with two zipper pockets for $79.00.
