The Click Sneaks
New York designer and researcher Despina Papadopoulos, the founder of Studio 5050, had the idea for the Click Sneaks while walking down a cobblestone street, wearing sneakers next to a friend wearing stilettoes.
The artist recorded the "click" sound of high heels on a voice chip and had it activated on each step the revamped sneakers take. A speaker, an amplifier and a sensor acting as a ,Aeuswitch,Aeu on the sole of each foot, transform these seemingly normal sneakers into a sound performance.
The shoes are just prototypes, but Studio 5050 has also created a commercial light accessory called Moi. You can wear it as bracelet or necklace, use it as a bed buddy or wear it in clubs to get noticed.
Moi is powered by a 3 volt battery and comes in amber, green and ultra reflective white.
$25.00.
