Karim Rashid: Evolution

In his new book Evolution, industrial designer Karim Rashid dreams of a place called "Nutopia": everything is beautiful, romantic, positive, energetic, intellectual and seamless, with no banalities or tedious human paradigms, where we live in constant inspiration -- where we are smarter, faster and stronger.
Rashid also just completed his first hotel project, the Semiramis Hotel in Athens, a "true 21st century creation".

Rooms at the Semiramis have high-speed Internet access, digital locks, electronic curtain control, and digital message boards on the doors in lieu of the old "do not disturb" signs.
From the Washington Post (bugmenot).
