Dreamate Accupressure Sleep Device
I've never been a good sleeper so I was intrigued by the Dreamate, which is described as a "watch-like unit that uses natural biofeedback technique to rebuild the biological clock and train the wearer to relax and sleep." The Dreamate uses accupressure to stimulate the "sleeping golden triangle" (on the wrist!) which is supposed to bring on deeper, more restful sleep. Some users have said they were able to sleep for up to 55 minutes longer after falling asleep with a Dreamate. The only problem is the "gentle wave" it emits is kind of bumpy and noisy. My golden triangle was pretty annoyed. At $79.99, it didn't seem worth the risk, but I remain curious.

Ultimate Ears "Personal Monitors"
These earphones may look amorphous (and a tad gross) but that's because they're the UE-10 Pro Ultimate Ears, which have been custom-molded for the individual user's ears. An audiologist makes impressions of your ears, and the Ultimate Ears arrive, perfectly ear canal -shaped, in any color you like, about a week later.
Ultimate Ears were designed for use as sound monitors for musicians and sound engineers so they have excellent noise-cancellation and provide superior sound accuracy.
What's the price for the ultimate? $900, about $50 more than the similar, but nicer-looking Sensaphonics Custom In-Ear Monitors.

The Gadget With the Most Gadgets

I am starting to think that the iPod series has made the fortune of many, not only at Apple. As I surf the web in search of some new and interesting gadget to report on, I stumble every time upon some new iPod related news, site, use and of course GADGET. I have never seen such a high production of gadgets all aimed at one single product. I can definitely see how cool it must be to design nice little add-ons for ,Aeilet,Aeos face it- one of the most popular gadgets in years. Not even cell phones have managed to have such a dedicated line of personalized products.
Let,Aeos take a look around. There is Tote purse for the iPod, which includes speakers (in case you want to annoy everyone around you with your tunes). ,AeuThe first high-fashion boom box for iPod lovers!,Aeu is available at everythingipod.com for $144.00 with lots of other iPod gadgets. We can then take a look at ipodlounge.com and check out the iPod leather sleeves designed by Incase, available for $29.95. The Japanese company Power Support designed, among other strictly Mac related items, the silicon jacket for both the iPod and the mini iPod (for $20.00). Marware has many different cases, I like them all, but my favorite is definitely the Mini Safari, for $19.95.
These are just a few examples. iPod cases are flourishing everywhere, some are very cool, some are stylish, some are funny, and some are just ugly or unreasonably expensive ,AeP or both. Still, my favorite iPod gadget remains the ipodonut, about which I reported a while ago on this site.

EB To Offer Wireless Downloads
Starting in December 2004, Electronics Boutique will start offering wireless downloads of games for bluetooth-enabled cell phones in some of their locations. There will also be free content available such as game trailers (read: commercials). When someone walks within 30 feet of one of the kiosks while carrying a compatible phone, a message will pop up on the phone screen, inviting them to the download booth. There is no information about pricing yet, but there will likely be free trials available for many of the downloadable games.

Logitech EasyFit Headsets
Logitech's new EasyFit line of mobile phone headsets lets you customize a perfect fit for your phone. You pick a headset (over-the-ear, earbud, or earbud boom; what color), add the earpiece that best fits your ear, and then buy the proper adapter for your phone.
The earbuds and over-ear models are $14.99, and the earbud boom is $19.99. The connectors are $4.99 or $9.99 for the retractable models.

iSeePet: Remote Pet Camera

iSeePet is a remote camera that lets you see what your dog or cat is up to while you're away. The camera is attached to a feeder that you control over a secure web connection so you can entice your dog to the feeder.

You'll be able to see your dog or cat through any browser, even mobile ones, that allow secure connections.
And look how simple (not) it is to set up: First Step Guide. There's also a video demo.
Oddly, I can't figure out how you can actually obtain one of these, although I'd read previously that it costs about $500.

Your Laptop Bag Has Never Been So Stylish

This is probably the most fashionable laptop bag I have seen in a while and yet, probably also the most uncomfortable. But, hey, we "ladies" have always done our best to be fashionably uncomfortable. I still haven't given up trying to wear pointed high heel pointed shoes, even though my feet scream for help every second they have to spend in there. You can get this elegant laptop bag for $180 from macattire and, unless you are the lucky owner of one of those super-light laptops, you might want to consider investing in cab rides as well. The question is, do I really need one of these? Probably not, but would I want one? Definitely!

Imported Rabbit Ears and Fish Treats for Dogs

American dogs eat plain old dried pigs' ears while their European counterparts nibble on these fancy dried rabbit ears. Now, our dogs can enjoy fine imported rabbit ears from SitStay.com. These chemical-free ears ($8.00 for a package of 3) are tough to chew, so should keep your dog busy for 10 to 20 minutes. They look kind of scary to me, but it's good to know that they use the rest of the rabbit for other food products.
Sitstay.com also carries all-natural Icelandic Fish Skin Chews ($6.00 for a 3.8 oz. package), which are good for teeth and fur.

High Fashion Nintendo

It's Fashion Week in Los Angeles, and "hip hop clothier" Enyce trotted out a Nintendo Donkey Kong inspired one-of-a-kind T-shirt at their show. Nintendo will be auctioning off the t-shirt and giving the proceeds to an unnamed charity.
The star-studded fashion show included Laurence Fishburne, Tisha Campbell, Mimi Rogers, Simon Rex, Theron Benymon, David Alan Grier and socialite Casey Johnson. Nintendo sponsored the after-party following the fashion show. Party-goers got to sample the hottest games for Nintendo GameCube(TM), including one of the most highly anticipated games for the holidays, Metroid(R)Prime 2 Echoes.
It seems like Nintendo is working hard to appeal to a more mature audience.
