Two, 2, II - Sequel-Mania

Sequels to several successful games are on the horizon, among them Sims 2 (which should be coming out September 17), Everquest 2, Neverwinter Nights 2 (coming 2006), Halo 2 and Half-life 2.
We've already heard alot about Sims2, which is not an expansion to the original game, but a completely different game from the original Sims. It includes many aspects of the original game, but adds a boat load of new stuff. Marni Soupcoff has a funny review of the game at Taemag.
Everquest II is also an entirely new game from Everquest. The link above has a trailer of the game, and the graphics seem quite incredible.
Neverwinter Nights 2 appears to still be in development. They even have a message board up for suggestions, so if you have something in mind for what you'd like to see in NWN2, you should head over there and post something.
In Halo 2, "the saga continues as Master Chief,Aeia genetically enhanced super-soldier,Aeiis the only thing standing between the relentless Covenant and the destruction of all humankind." I think that pretty much explains it. Check out the viral ads at Ilovebees.
Half-Life 2 continues to follow the story of Gordon Freemen, and is divided into 12 chapters. The game's supposed to be fairly long - longer than the first one, that is. Apparently they're being pretty secretive about the whole thing, so I guess we'll just have to see.
