Pantone Color Cue

The Pantone Color Cue is a handheld spectro-colorimeter that will give you the Pantone, RGB, HTML, Hex, XYZ, or CMYK color value of any item you place it on. I wish I'd had one when I had a client who wanted to match her website background with her office wallpaper. It's $299.
The color cue is for physical items, but for capturing the color of something on your screen, Pixie is a freeware program that does the same thing for anything you point at with your mouse. Pixie supports hex, RGB, HTML, CMYK and HSV.
