Next Stop On The Germophobe Express...
Now that I'm admitting to all my hang-ups about germs, I have to lay some blame on a special I saw many years back on 20-20. It was an expose on the cleanliness factor of hotel rooms. Basically viewers were let in on all the stuff that they didn't want to know was lurking on their bedspreads and television remotes. I won't sicken you with the details of the report, but let's just say that the first thing I do in any hotel room is to strip the comforter to the floor and leave it there!
Sometime after the 20/20 report I learned all about the powers of ultraviolet light and what it could do for my germ hang-ups. Many biological fluids flouresce under UV light, so naturally a UV light would be the next step in keeping my sanity when traveling. The Inova Microlight LED keychain light seemed the perfect choice. Although the UV model is a bit more challenging to find than the basic colors, its compact size and exceptional brightness proved just the ticket to add to my travel wares. FlashLights Unlimited carries the full range, including the UV Light and the infrared model.
Be careful what you look for... I will spare you the tales of what I've seen with my Microlight.
